The 6 Dimensions of Energy Management

There are 6 personality dimensions which are fundamental to your use of energy: where you focus your attention, how you process ambiguous information, how you view and utilize time, the template that you use to make decisions, the tasks that you handle best and the way you view and handle change. These dimensions cover a lot of ground and they are an efficient suite of information. They are complex in what they identify but simple to understand and apply. They will reacquaint you with you own sense of self so you can master channeling energy through your daily experiences. You can make adjustments in your current operating style so that energy acquisition is a top priority no matter what the circumstances.

Next post: I'll start discussion of the Focus Dimension, where you focus your attention, and how that matters in managing your energy.

Energy Management - Going Green Was Never More Personal

You waste more energy than you might think. This is not about improving organizational skills, time management or power napping. It is a process that details your specific energy needs by identifying those aspects of your life that drain or replenish your reserves. Without that knowledge, you are flying blind every day and can set yourself up to become stuck in a web of stressful conditions.
Multi-tasking gene aside, this expenditure in the long term turns into a deficit that can be hard to recover from. Besides sapping the light and loft from your days, the bigger consequence is that you loose the connection to yourself and it can be difficult to find your way home.

Many people live with a level of discontent that they feel is a normal part of life - “Too many demands from my job, family obligations and a hectic lifestyle and when am I ever going to get to me? And isn’t that selfish?” No, it is not. You need to live your life in a way that:

· enables you to get replenished, while you are accomplishing daily tasks and,
· simultaneously nourish those intentions that never seem to get off the ground.

When you manage your energy to its highest revenue you will find that not only will you no longer be playing catch up, but will actually be nourishing your long-term direction. And, goal setting won’t require the usual planning and plotting but will draw on a creative reserve that is more substantial than you imagine.

Staying Power will make you aware of your personal energy reserve and conscious of how you should best dispense energy and replenish it. Energy isn’t something that comes to you only by eating and sleeping. You will get a new perspective on what a higher level of energy can do for you and it is not just to knock more items off that super sized to-do list.

Through the methods shown in Staying Power you will construct your unique energy management system. That system will enable you to spend your energy wisely and replenish it regularly so you can reap the real rewards of a higher energy level: a vital and constant connection to your creativity and intuition. Do you feel that creativity and intuition are not within your reach? That’s because they are higher level skills, on the top shelf of life. If you can’t reach them now it is because you don’t have enough energy to access them. You need a ladder to enable you to grasp those skills.

Staying Power Debuts as a Blog

Today is the premiere of Staying Power, a blog developed to help you manage your energy to its highest level. The process was developed from years of experience counseling corporate executives and constantly challenging the standard processes for reaching success. High energy levels mean more than being able to slide through your growing to-do lists. A higher energy level will enable you to access your creativity and intuition - constantly. The workshops are being translated into a book (currently being written) and I will share segments of it to help you understand this new point of view. In a few weeks I will have a questionnaire developed for you to begin applying the principles and I am eager to hear how it is working in your life. I'll be there to encourage you with support and advice.

More Power to You,

Chris De Poto
